Cheers to Chapter 11: Two-Fifths of the Editing Done!
Big news from the editing studio today: I have just finished editing Chapter 11! 😁🥂 That satisfying click of “save” means I am now officially two-fifths of the way through this round of editing! 💻🎉
This milestone feels particularly significant because Chapters 10 and 11 put up a serious fight. Due to almost an entire rewrite of that section, these two chapters took longer to complete than any other chapter so far. When you’re dealing with a complex crime narrative, sometimes the dominoes just don’t line up, and you have to rebuild a couple of them from scratch to ensure the final twist hits just right.
It was tough, demanding work, but seeing those pages finally polished and locked down is incredibly rewarding. I am very pleased with my progress, and despite the unexpected rewrite detour, I’m happy to report that I’m still on track for publishing next year! 💜
A little progress every day, even when it involves a major rewrite, gets us closer to that final finish line. Time to celebrate this milestone, then dive right into Chapter 12!
